The
Blue Book: An A-Z Guide to University of Toronto Experts
Produced by the U of T’s Department of Public Affairs, this site
provides a listing of over 1100 experts at the University of Toronto, and is
intended as a resource guide for journalists seeking expert opinions from U
of T faculty and staff. Experts are listed by topics of interest and can be
searched by keyword, name or by clicking on the subjects located on the left.
Although designed for use by members of the media, this is also a good
source of experts for legal proceedings.

Canadian Law List
Not a week goes by that the Library doesn’t get telephone requests for
simple directory information for lawyers across the country, and our callers
are always happy to be introduced to the on-line version of the Canadian Law
List. Self-described as listing
over 55,000 lawyers and 19,000 law firms.
Easy Search is aptly named: just fill in the boxes as presented on the
screen, then click on Search.

practicing aboriginal law in Edmonton, there were no records meeting these
specifications. Likewise when
the search was broadened to all of Alberta.
When the search for an aboriginal law lawyer was expanded to include
every province, there were 10 listings although common sense would indicate
there should be more. It seems
that not all lawyers listed in the CLL are willing to pay extra to include
their area of practice. This is
still a quick and useful resource for anyone seeking names and addresses, and
much easier than the print version. Try it at
www.canadianlawlist.com.
L'Expert Directory
This is an abridged electronic version of the print directory containing
over 60,000 questionnaires from senior practitioners identifying those whom
they consider the most highly recommended lawyers in 53 practice areas across
Canada. You can limit the search to specific practice areas such as
biotechnology, franchising law and workers' compensation. It is used by
