Contributors: The Snail welcomes articles from MLA members. in Word format, along with photos, headshot and headline.
Length and format: For clarity and readability, we encourage submissions in the range of 200-500 words, with a maximum limit of 1000 words for news and opinions, and a limit of 2000 words for articles on law and legal issues. At the request of the contributor, any submissions shortened in this way can also be published with a link to the full article to be obtained directly from the author.
Potential topics for submissions include, but are not limited to:
· News, the promotion of an upcoming event, a review of a past event
· Recognition of someone in the legal community
· Discussion of a legal issue & case reviews
· Practice tips
· Opinion and letters to the editor
The Middlesex Law Association encourages all members to submit their written opinions on the issues facing lawyers in our association. The MLA Newsletter is a platform for the members of the MLA to have their voices heard.
The statements and opinions contained in the publications in the Snail are solely those of the individual authors and do not reflect those of the MLA or its Trustees. The deadline for each issue is noon on the 25th of the month unless it lands on a weekend, and then it is the following Monday.
